My dad joined the force at the age of 19 ...@Charan<br /><br />My dad joined the force at the age of 19 when my grandfather died of lung cancer leaving the family's finances in red. <br /><br />Others stories may not be as bad but yes survival pressure. <br /><br />To cite another example one engineering graduate died of over exhaustion during a police recruitment drill. That's the state of the country with little scope for at least a lower middle class life.
